Three Israeli Citizens Killed In Shooting Attack On West Bank

Israeli authorities have confirmed the death of three of their citizens at the hands of Hezbollah militants at the Allenby Bridge Crossing between the West Bank border with Jordan. 

The two incidents that occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning were reported by the Israeli ‘s emergency service in a statement issued by the Magen David Adom emergency service, he said “We found three men lying unconscious, with no pulse and not breathing, with gunshot wounds. Together with the IDF [Israel Defense Forces] medical team, we performed resuscitation efforts, but unfortunately, we had to declare their deaths on scene.”. 

The Israeli Defense Forces said a lone gunman in a truck approached the Jordanian crossing with the West Bank and opened fire at the security forces who fired back and neutralized the attacker but unfortunately three Israeli civilians were killed in the shooting. 

In a separate statement issued by the Israeli police, they confirmed that there was a shooting and three civilians were killed by the shooter who was later neutralized by the Israeli security forces.

The Allenby Bridge Crossing is used by Palestinians, Israelis and international tourists and has been closed till further notice by both the Israeli and the Jordanian governments. 

Prodesq, gathered that the three victims killed were males and they were security guards.

The occupied West Bank territory has seen a rise of violence since the October Seven attack on Israel. 

However, the Israeli Defense Forces said it launched a series of air strikes on Hezbollah targets in northern Lebanon. 

Lebanon’s Health Ministry confirmed that three emergency responders were killed while two others were severely wounded, with one of them in a critical condition in the strike launched by the Israeli Defense Forces on Saturday.
