The 31-year-old South Korean admitted she was in shock the day after she claimed the silver medal that she had gone viral and become an internet sensation for being the coolest shooter in the world after her picture pose went viral.
The pose also has inspired numerous fans to create art of the pose after the American Billionaire and owner of X suggested that the South Korean would fit perfectly well for an action movie.
The 31-year-old sensational shooter who earlier suffered disappointment after she was disqualified at the 25-meter pistol event due to an error that cost her a trip to the finals even though she was a huge favorite to win a gold medal at the event.
The South Korean who is still enjoying her unprecedented fame revealed that she is not a fan of social media and doesn’t have an X account but has an Instagram account with just six posts on it that she got to know of her internet fame through her 25-meter pistol coach who told her she has become a world star during a team dinner a day after she won the silver medal.
She further revealed she got to know through someone else on her team that Elon Musk gave her a shout-out on his platform and her Instagram dm has been jam-packed with lots of messages from friends and fans from around the world.
She disclosed that some of her Instagram messages were from fans who told her that they had learned a lot from her and that her mindset gave them hope. That was her reaction when she was disqualified from the 25-meter pistol event. Such messages meant a lot to her and moved her emotions.
She said because she scored zero shots at the 25-meter event doesn’t mean that was the end of the world and that has always been her mentality she wishes to tell people that whatever sad or demoralizing event might have happened to them won’t stop the sun from rising the following day and she truly believes that words carry power even though some people were angry at her and accused her of not taking the Olympics seriously because of her laugh reaction when she was scored zero point at the 25-meters pistol event.
She revealed that her reaction was misunderstood and that she had gone through bigger mistakes in her life.
The South Korean who failed to discharge her empty cartridge after each shot missed her shot by 0.01 seconds at the 25-meter pistol event revealed that she started her shooting career in the sixth grade even though her parents were against it, but her stubborn mentality paved the way for parents to finally give in to her demand.
The 31-year-old shooter said she had received some movie roles offer after Elon Musk suggested that she would be a good fit for a shooting movie but she disclosed that she hasn’t given it much thought and she is currently enjoying her wins.
