However, the Israel Defense Forces have declined to make any comments on foreign events outside Israeli territory, this was revealed in a statement issued on Monday by the IDF.

This is the first time in years that Israel has decided to take responsibility for airstrikes in Syria, which they have claimed hundreds of airstrikes in Syria.

The Syria foreign ministry has described the Israel attack as a “blatant aggression” which was supported by a statement from the Iranian government which issued a statement through their foreign ministry, calling the attack an act “criminal attack”.

Nasser Kanaani, Iranian foreign ministry spokesman said “We do not confirm what was reported by media outlets linked to the Zionist regime [Israel] about an attack on an Iranian center or a center under Iran’s protection.”

The Syrian Foreign Ministry disclosed that the Israeli airstrikes specifically targeted several residential areas while local sources claimed that significant structures were also destroyed by the airstrikes.

It also said that Israelis have used missiles and artillery strikes that have targeted Syrian territory on 64 occasions since the start of the year, resulting in the damage or destruction of about 140 targets, which includes weapons depots, vehicles, and Iran-backed militia headquarters.
