UAE Halts Purchase of 80 Fighter Jets from France

by Admin Aug 28, 2024 The United Arab Emirates has halted its contract acquisition of 80 fighter jets from France which is worth $17 billion dollars and it is currently weighing the option of blocking military-technical cooperation between the two countries. This decision comes after the arrest of the Telegram owner, Pavel Duro on Sunday night at Paris’s Le Bourget airport in Paris after the tech mogul flew back from Azerbaijan.  United Arab Emirates foreign minister, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed bin Sultan has called on France to provide the telegram president access to all necessary consular services, this was said in a statement issued on Tuesday. “The Emirates are closely following the case of Emirati citizen Pavel Durov, founder of the Telegram social network, who was detained by the French authorities at Le Bourget airport. And they conveyed a demand to the French government to urgently provide it with all the necessary consular services,”  the statement further said that  “Caring for citizens, preserving their interests, following up on their affairs, and providing them with all aspects of care is a top priority for the UAE.”  The 39 years old billionaire has been charged with crimes ranging from drug trafficking, apology for terrorism, and cyberbullying, Pavel is also a citizen of France, Russia, and the Caribbean island nation of St Kitts and Nevis. He is currently at the French court to face trials to determine whether he will be remanded in prison or will be set free and placed under restricted movement within France.

French Police Hands Over Telegram Owner, Pavel Duro to France Court.

by Admin Aug 28, 2024 The French police have handed the Telegram president, Pavel Duro to the French court, after withholding the Russia-UAE citizen in detention for three days. The handover was done earlier today by the French police after they arrested the Telegram owner at Paris’s Le Bourget airport on Sunday night after Pavel got back from Azerbaijan. The arrest was led by Investigators from France’s National Anti-Fraud Office, with a search warrant from OFMIN, an investigative agency that fights child sexual exploitation in France, this was revealed by France News Agency. The 39-year-old billionaire was charged with multiple offenses: terrorism, drugs, complicity, fraud, money laundering, receiving stolen goods, and pedo criminal contents. Pavel, who rarely travels around Europe due to situations like this, landed in France to refuel his private jet before he was arrested by the French authorities. Pavel, who was under pre-trial detention for the last three days after his arrest on Sunday, will now face France’s judicial system which will now determine if the tech billionaire will be remanded in prison or will be set free and possibly under judicial control with restrictions on his movements. Prodesq news agency learned that a confidential investigation team was set up on the 8th of July to probe 12 criminal charges that were set against the Telegram owner.  The 39-year-old tech mogul was a Russian citizen until 10 years ago when he had issues with the Russian government over his platform which has 900 million users, Pavel is now a citizen of the United Arab Emirates and also a citizen of France and has always been a personality who keeps a low profile and rarely grants an interview, his last known interview was in Dubai office with American journalist Tucker Carlson.  The telegram president who is currently worth $15.5 billion has been a frequent visitor of French President, Emmanuel Macron who has come out publicly to denounce that the arrest of Pavel has nothing to do with political ties which he referred to as “false information” in his post on his personal X account, Macron said Durov’s arrest was “in no way a political decision” and it was “up to the judges to rule”. Russia has released a statement through the Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov saying the charges were very serious and thus needed “no less serious evidence”. He further referred to the arrest of Pavel as an act of intimidation from the French government  “Otherwise this would be a direct attempt to restrict freedom of communication, and, I might even say, directly intimidate the head of a large company,” he said. The UAE has also issued a statement saying it is closely monitoring the situation and is making all efforts to establish a communication line with Pavel.

U.S Government To Organize More Free Covid 19 Tests to Take Place Late Next Month

by Admin Aug 26, 2024 The U.S. government on Friday announced that there will be free COVID-19 tests coming up next month. This was revealed at a briefing on the upcoming respiratory virus season by Dawn O’Connell, the assistant secretary for preparedness and response at the Department of Health and Human Services. “These tests will help families and their loved ones stay safe this fall and winter season,” O’Connell said.  She further said that the decision by the government to conduct the free tests next month is a result of the growing increase in the rate of people who are testing positive for COVID-19 and the introduction of highly contagious new variants which has increased the visitation to the emergency room of different hospitals around the country since late May.  It has been revealed that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data shows the wastewater viral activity level for COVID-19 is very high.  Dawn O’Connell, disclosed that each household in the country has the entitlement to order four nasal swab tests when the federal program begins again in late September. “Covid-19 ttesting can help you know if you have COVID-19 so you can decide what to do next, like getting treatment to reduce your risk of severe illness and taking steps to lower your chances of spreading the virus to others,” this was released in a statement by The U.S. Health and Human Services (HHS) agency. The agency added that the exact date for the testing has not yet been announced nor an exact date for ordering the test swabs. It also announced that the decision by the U.S. government to begin the COVID test came after the updated mRNA COVID vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna for the fall season were approved by the government. It is expected that Novavax will get approval for its updated vaccine sometime this year. 900 million test kits have been distributed throughout American households while over 1 million Americans have died from Covid 19 since its inception in 2020.

Robert F Kennedy Backs Out Of Presidential Race To Back Donald Trump

by Admin Aug 24, 2024 America’s Independent presidential candidate Robert F Kenndey Jr, on Friday night, announced that he has suspended his presidential campaign and decided on Republican candidate and former president Donald Trump. Kennedy made this announcement at his campaign stop in Phoenix, Arizona after he filed paperwork withdrawing his candidacy in Arizona, in preparation for Friday’s speech.  The son of the former US attorney general and Senator made a fiery speech to announce the suspension of his presidential campaign, saying “Beneath the radar of mainstream media organs, we inspired a massive independent political movement.” The environmental activist further disclosed that despite running as an independent presidential candidate and being considered a no-competitor, he has proven the “naysayers” wrong. He questioned the competence of the electoral system “ “In an honest system, I believe I would have won the election,” he said. The 70-year-old nephew of slain U.S. President John F Kennedy acknowledged his slim opportunity to win the presidential election “I cannot in good conscience ask my staff and volunteers to keep working their long hours or ask my donors to keep giving when I cannot honestly tell them that I have a real path to the White House.” Kennedy stated that the reason why he suspended his presidential campaign and threw his support behind former President Donald Trump was “free speech, the war in Ukraine, and the war on our children”. Robert F KeKennedy Jr joined the Republican presidential candidate, former president Donald Trump, on stage at a rally in Arizona after dropping out of the race and endorsing the former US president after he announced that he would seek to remove his name from the ballot in 10 battleground states. President Donald Trump earlier announced that if he wins the election, he will release all the remaining documents related to the 1963 assassination of President John F Kennedy. He later praised Robert Kennedy Jr as a”phenomenal” and “brilliant” person at the rally later in Glendale.  The decision of Mr. Robert Kennedy Jr to pull out of the presidential race and support former President Donald Trump has been met with dismay from his family, who initially condemned his invocation of the family name in a Super Bowl ad back in February. Speaking on behalf of the Kennedy family, Kerry Kennedy, the junior sister to Robert Kennedy, said his support for Trump was a “betrayal of the values that our father and our family hold most dear. It is a sad ending to a sad story.” Mr. Kennedy issued an apology to his family and his friends who were affected by his decision to pull out of the presidential race and throw his support behind the Republican candidate, Donald Trump.

She further said that the US government understands the need for the Ukrainian army to minimize the border controlled by the Russian forces. Ukraine President, Volodymyr Zelensky on Thursday made his first visit to the border area where the Ukrainian forces launched a surprise offensive into the Russian Kursk region which began on the sixth of August.
