Former president Donald Trump on Sunday evening survived an assasination attempt by another lone shooter who invaded his residence in Mar A Lago palm beach.

The alleged assailant who was disarmed and arrested by the security services was identified as Ryan Wesley Roth, a staunch supporter of Ukraine independence movement against Russia.

The attempt came two months after Donald Trump survived an attempted assassination during his presidential campaign in Pennsylvania in which the shooter missed the republican presidential candidate by a whisker.

The gunman’s ability to get close to a shooting distance of former President Trump on Sunday has again raised concerns about the level of violence in the American political landscape.

Donald Trump took to his Truth Social platform to inform his supporters that he is alive and also thank the security services for their efforts in protecting him. He said

“I would like to thank everyone for your concern and well wishes – It was certainly an interesting day! Most importantly, I want to thank the U.S. Secret Service, Sheriff Ric Bradshaw and his Office of brave and dedicated Patriots, and, all of Law Enforcement, for the incredible job done today at Trump International in keeping me, as the 45th President of the United States, and the Republican Nominee in the upcoming Presidential Election, SAFE. THE JOB DONE WAS ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING. I AM VERY PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN!”

Republican supporters swamped the republican presidential candidate’s truth official page with encouraging posts.

In a post by Kash Patel, a former appointee in Trump’s Defense Department, he said “The greatest warrior”.

Kamala Harris, the current vice president and Democrat presidential candidate expressed her concern over Trump in her post on her official X page, she said “I have been briefed on reports of gunshots fired near former President Trump and his property in Florida, and I am glad he is safe. Violence has no place in America.”

Roth Wesley has been charged to court on the counts of two separate gun charges and awaiting sentencing.
