Ukraine rained a barrage of drones into Moscow on Tuesday in which over 140 drones were shot down by Russia air defense systems but failed to prevent a fatality crisis.
The drone attack which claimed the life of a female civilian and destroyed several homes and key infrastructures within the Moscow region which also forced the cancellation of flights and shut down of the airspace and airports.
The incident which was confirmed by a Russian defense ministry said that the attack was the largest ever within Moscow and was the first time that it would claim the life of someone since the beginning of the war in 2022.
It was revealed that the Ukrainian drone targets were actually nine regions while 20 were aimed towards Moscow. The ministry confirmed the shooting down of 144 drones launched by the Ukraine Army.
The overnight attacks which saw Ukraine launch over 200 drones into Moscow set off various air defenses systems simultaneously within the Moscow region.
The deceased who was killed in drone attacks was a 46 year old woman in the town of Ramenskoye, while three others were reported to be wounded and currently recovering in the hospital.
Andrey Vorobyov, Governor of Moscow Oblast in a statement confirmed the death and suggested that it could be more that one person killed by the drone attack, he added that a 9 year old child was not yet confirmed to be alive after the attack.
