The Israeli forces on Wednesday launched one of the biggest assault raids in the occupied territory of the West Bank of Jenin City, Tulkarem, and Tubas, the biggest since the occupation of the territory 20 years ago.
The assault which included a large scale of airstrikes and dangerous raids backed by fighter jets, drones, bulldozers, and hundreds of foot soldiers led to the sealing of the city of Jenin completely by the Israeli forces which left ten Palestinians dead.
Israel Foreign Minister Israel Katz has described the invasion as a whole level of a full-fledged war with Hamas which will not be anywhere near what was done in the Gaza strip. Katz said the Israeli forces would completely implement the same tactics used in the war-affected areas of Palestine, especially in the West Bank territory.
Katz in his statement accused Iran of trying to establish “an eastern terrorist front” against Israel in the West Bank and accused the former Persian empire of funding and arming militants and smuggling weapons from Jordan.
The Israeli forces have conducted daily raids on the West Bank territory since the Hamas attack on October 7 and a retaliatory response from the Israeli forces which is still currently going on in Gaza and has developed into a full-blown war.
The simultaneous assault of the West Bank of Jenin City, Tulkarem, and Tubas was the biggest the Israelites have ever conducted in twenty years when they launched Operation Defense Shield which was executed during the Second Intifada since they officially invaded the West Bank territory in 1967.
The International Court of Justice (ICJ) Hague, last month issued a statement that Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territories, including the West Bank, breached international law.
In a joint statement released by the Israel Defense Forces, the Israel Security Agency (also known as the Sin Bet), and the Israel Police, launched a counter-terrorism operation to eliminate the threats of armed militias from the air and ground assault, and three militants who were seen as a threat to the nation of Israel were eliminated last night through airstrikes in the city of Jenin, while two were killed in the city of Tulkarem, the statement also revealed that several wanted suspects have been apprehended since the operation began yesterday.
Palestinian health authorities have disclosed that more than 40,000 people have been killed in the besieged Gaza strip since Israel launched its offensive after the Oct. 7 terrorist attacks. Hamas’ assaults in southern Israel killed 1,200 people and led to 250 other hostages being taken over 50 of these Israeli hostages have been killed by Hamas and failed Israeli rescue missions, while one 50-year-old man who was part of the captured hostages by Hamas was rescued earlier this week by the Israeli forces in Gaza strip.
